When Jared and I were dating, I *knew* he was the one after he spent about half a day in front of my house alone, trying to unclog the gutter that ran underneath the driveway. (okay--I'm sure I knew before this, but it just solidified it!)
His parents say he has always been this way, and it is true--If you give him an outdoor project, he will not be done until he is DONE. And he is a perfectionist:

P.S. Jared would like to clarify that these "weeds" are more like "trees", but highly annoying, because they drop weird spiky seed pods onto our driveway. They grow in the empty lot next door, and are wild. While we would be happy to keep a beautiful tree hanging over the wall, "noxious weeds," such as this, must go!
Thanks, Honey!

those look like trees to me - I couldn't have even reached them with big tools to get them! And I'm impressed that you can't even SEE them anymore... obviously got the job done right! PS can I just say that I love how you have a comment box pop up without leaving your blog - It drives me bonkers on other blogs when they don't do this.... hopefully they don't see me complaining.
"Noxious weeds" - ha, ha. Too bad they're noxious, because it was kind of pretty. Why didn't Jared do more backyard work while he was here?????!!!! We are being overrun by weeds!!!
Loved all your posts. It's always an exciting life in Mexico full of new things, and a few crazy annoying ones too. I love the laid back culture and feel at peace too by the water and beach. Your home is beautiful. Those doors filled with sunshine are great.
